Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do your chameleons get stressed during shipping?
No. We have been shipping chameleons nationwide and internationally for a very long time. We don’t take any short-cuts when it comes to our chameleons. Our shipping materials are both proven and professional. When done properly, the chameleon goes through very little, if any, stress at all.
Q. How long should I wait for my chameleon to climb out?
It can take several minutes for the chameleon to climb out. The key is giving them privacy so they feel safe. You can also try leaving the room and coming back. That usually does the trick.
Q. When do I offer food and water?
You should let the chameleon settle in for one hour before offering food and water. Prior to shipping, we make sure that our chameleons are well-fed and hydrated for the trip. Food is not as important as water on the first day, so just make sure that you offer water.
Q. What should I do next?
That’s it. You are still covered by our warranty so just observe and keep an eye on the following things:
Both eyes should stay open during the day.
Both eyes should bulge out of his/her head.
The chameleon should not be spending much time on the ground.
The chameleon should be alert.
Eating should start on the first or second day.
Q. What should I do if I think there is a problem with my chameleon?
Call us immediately. Do not guess, just call us no matter what. We’ve even setup a toll-free number for our customers at
(888) 486-5552 to address all questions and concerns.
Q. What if I want to return my order?
Returning your order is simple. All our chameleons come with a 10 Day Guarantee. Chameleons purchased with our Ultimate Setup Kit come with a 30 Day Guarantee. Just save everything that came with your chameleon including the box, insulation, and temperature pack. We will take care of the rest.

Hey, I’m from Singapore. I was thinking of getting a Chameleon soon. But I have absolutely no idea of how to take care of them. I used to be scared of Lizards too, so I’m afraid I might hurt it.
Unfortunately, we do not ship to Singapore unless you are ordering a large group. Try a local breeder. Thanks!
What type of chameleon is this? And can you ship to England?
This little guy is an Ambilobe. We can ship to England if the order is at least $3000. Thanks!
When will more male ambilobe babies be available for purchase and shipping?

My son Devin is turning 11. We very much like your site and are thinking of a panther for his birthday. I will help also.
We are interested in a vibrant color. Would this be a male? Something similar to Xerxis perhaps.
We would want to buy habitat / starter kit also.
What do you suggest?
Thank you.
Hi there. If you are looking for all the bright colors then you want to go with a male. Females are still very pretty, and will display pinks, beige, peach orange, with lavender dots. The males just show the distinguishable colors.
The male you are interested Xerxis is an Ambilobe. We are now taking pre-orders on them. The setup kits will ship immediately. By time you receive and get everything setup, they should be ready to ship. Call us toll free to place an order at 888-486-5552.

Thank you!
hi its sam
can you ship chameleons to northen ireland
thanks
Hi Vincent. When will you update the site with new photos of Xerxis. He is gorgeous! By the way, we have a wonderful baby girl from these guys and we highly recommend them. They are very dependable and wonderful to deal with. Hope to get a male within the next 6 months. Waiting for Suede to outgrow her setup.
Hi Melanie! Thank you for the kind words!
Hi Vincent, My son had a 10gal glass set up for an anole which died. Can we use that temporarily for the baby chameleon or is there a way to “raise ” the bottom or adjust the large chameleon cage to accommodate the baby? I do not want to buy 2 more cages if possible. Also, if I have the new cage in the familyroom will the ‘activity’ of the family stress the chameleon?
Hi Cheryl,
You do not want to raise a panther chameleon in a glass tank. We ONLY recommend using an all-screened cage because panther chameleons need the proper ventilation to thrive. It’s OK to place the cage in the family room. Just make sure that the screen cage has enough foliage so the chameleons can feel secure. Also, place the cage away from vents and open windows and doors.
Hi Cheryl. I had the same concerns about placing Suede in the den but she has tolerated everything great. We have three children (ages 3-8), indoor cats and dogs and there is constant noise. When her lights go out she is in her hiding place and does not move until they come back on in the morning. She just watches all the activity and sort of goes about her business. She still likes privacy to eat though but every now and then we get to see her hunt.
